TATTOO BOOKING — ALEX MORO
CUSTOM WORK IN CALIFORNIA & COLORADO

  • BOOKING
Interested in a custom tattoo? Please review the information below before submitting a booking request.

Clients must be 18 years or older to book. Tattoo sessions run from 11 AM to 7 PM, available on weekdays and weekends. Two-day bookings can be arranged upon request.

Based in Garden Grove, Orange County — Southern California — and available twice a year as a guest artist in Colorado. Please note that pricing is higher for sessions in Colorado. To view upcoming availability, check the “Booking” highlight on Instagram — click to view . If the preferred date isn’t available in the calendar, or if you're looking to book for a later month, please mention it in the form. Each request is reviewed individually.

A response will be sent by email, typically within 24 hours, though occasionally it may take a bit longer. If no reply is received within 3 days, make sure to check the spam folder or reach out via email.
  • PRICING
    • My hourly rate is $400/hour for tattoos that take up to 4 hours to complete. This applies to smaller designs with minimal detail and a size of up to 4–5 inches (10–12 cm).
    • For larger pieces, I offer full-day sessions (7 hours) at $300/hour, which totals $2,100 in California. This time frame is usually enough to complete a medium-sized tattoo on the inner forearm.
    • If you're booking in Colorado, the rate for full-day sessions is $350/hour ($2,450 total).
Rates may increase over time, but the current rate will be locked in if at least one session is booked every four months (for multi-session projects).
  • DEPOSIT
A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to secure a booking. A separate deposit is required for each day of tattooing. The deposit will be applied to your final session when we complete the tattoo.

You may reschedule once without losing your deposit, as long as you give at least 14 days’ notice. If you cancel or reschedule with less than 14 days’ notice, the deposit will be forfeited and must be paid again to rebook. If you reschedule twice, a new deposit of 100% of the session price will be required to book another appointment.
  • Payment methods
    Cash, Zelle, Venmo, CashApp.
    No credit cards accepted.
  • SESSION ESTIMATES
    • Upper arm — 2 sessions (14–16 hours)
    • Forearm (one side) — 1–2 sessions (7–16 hours)
    • Lower leg (one side) — 2 sessions (14–16 hours)
    • Full arm sleeve — 7–9 sessions (49–72 hours)
    • Full leg sleeve — 9–13 sessions (63–104 hours)
    • Full back piece — 10–15 sessions (70–120 hours)
Please note: The times above are only rough estimates — actual duration may vary depending on the design, size, and placement. The same tattoo can take a different amount of time depending on the skin.
  • TOUCH-UPS
Touch-up policy applies only to tattoos completed by Alex Moro.
Free touch-ups are available within the first month after a session. After that period, they are charged at the standard rate of $400/hour. For clients traveling from out of town, touch-ups can be scheduled during a return visit.
  • IMAGE REQUIREMENTS
For portraits (both people and pets), high-quality, well-lit reference images must be provided. Natural photographs are preferred over tattoos of other artists. You may send inspirational references from sources like Google or Pinterest if they help convey your idea. Suggestions may be provided to improve clarity or execution.
The clearer the vision, the better the result.
  • DESIGN PROCESS
Each tattoo is a one-of-a-kind design created in Procreate or Photoshop using reference images or digital art. Design work begins 1–2 days prior to the session and is presented on the day of the appointment. Minor adjustments (1–2 hours) can be made during the session. Major revisions require an additional fee of $400/hour and may necessitate rescheduling.
  • COVER-UPS
Cover-up tattoos generally require more time and may involve additional sessions or prior laser removal. The new design must be larger and darker than the existing tattoo. Common themes that work well for cover-ups include cosmic elements or skulls. Submissions may be declined if the concept is unlikely to yield a good result or doesn't align with artistic standards.
  • Numbing Creams
Numbing creams are not used, as they can negatively impact the skin, especially in color tattoos. Improper or excessive application may cause skin damage and interfere with healing.
  • PREPARATION
Protect the tattoo area from sun exposure and apply SPF 50 outdoors. Avoid tanning. Moisturize skin a month prior to your appointment.
Do not shave the area; it will be done on the day of the session. Waxing or sugaring 2–3 days before is acceptable. Avoid alcohol 1–2 days prior to reduce bleeding.
Consult a doctor if you have health conditions or are taking medication.
Sleep well, eat a good breakfast, and bring snacks. Wear loose, comfortable clothing that can be stained, and bring slippers if the tattoo is on a leg.
An aftercare kit will be provided (including healing cream and protective pad). Please have adhesive tape available at home to secure the pad during healing.
